President Trump’s Year of Living Dangerously by Jeff Crouere

One year ago, the political earth stood still with the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States. A majority of American voters in 30 states awarded their electoral votes and the presidency to an outsider, a businessman and reality TV star with decades in the public eye, but no experience as an elected official. He won by running against the establishment in both political parties, the media, bad trade deals, and policies of countries such as Mexico and China that he believed were not in the best interest of the American people.

President Donald J. TrumpUnlike previous GOP presidential candidates, Donald Trump connected with voters in Rust Belt states who were ignored in the past. He talked about jobs, trade deals, coal, infrastructure, a border wall, tax cuts, repealing Obamacare and putting “America First.” After supporting phony Democratic presidential nominees for years, these blue-collar voters gave Donald Trump the margin he needed for victory.

To win, Donald Trump had to defeat 16 career politicians and establishment Republicans in the primaries and a “Never Trump” candidate that disgruntled conservatives fielded in the general election. Of course, he also had to overcome his major opponent, Hillary Clinton, who received extremely positive media coverage and enjoyed a huge political war chest that was twice the size of Trump’s account.

The media thoroughly covered up Hillary’s health problems, including her pneumonia and fainting episode on the anniversary of September 11. In contrast, Donald Trump had to survive the bombshell of the illegal release of the Access Hollywood tape that would have destroyed any other candidate. Instead, Trump fought back by refusing GOP calls to exit the race and, in fact, bringing three women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct to the next debate as his special guests.

Trump’s instinct to fight back served him well throughout his business career, in the 2016 campaign and it will serve him well as President. He needs to be continually fighting because no U.S. President has had to contend with as many political enemies within his political party, the government and the “fake news” media.

Right after his upset victory, President-elect Trump was immediately confronted by Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein who launched a lawsuit in multiple states. She demanded recounts, alleging potential hacking and voter irregularities. When she was unsuccessful, an effort was launched to change the minds of Trump voters in the Electoral College.

Once it was clear that Donald Trump was going to take the oath of office and become President, opponents organized protests throughout the country seeking to invalidate his victory. From the Women’s March on the day following his inauguration to the recent Antifa protests, the left has not stopped in their efforts to oppose the President.

Unfortunately, the President has not only faced opposition from the Democrats. His surprise victory has caused alarm among the Republican Party establishment. For example, former President George H. W. Bush recently admitted that he voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, while his son, former President George W. Bush, voted for “none of the above.”

For eight years, George W. Bush was totally silent about then President Barack Obama’s liberal policies, but on several recent occasions he has criticized his fellow Republican, President Donald Trump. Obviously, Bush views Trump differently, as actually a threat to the political establishment which dominates both political parties.

These “country club” Republicans want to wrest back control of the party and are desperately trying to thwart the Trump agenda on Capitol Hill. One of their favorite swamp creatures, U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) torpedoed the GOP legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare. Another establishment pet, U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) has questioned the President’s mental acumen and blasted both his judgment and his policies.

It is no surprise that the President is having trouble getting his agenda passed on Capitol Hill. The GOP is hopelessly split with “Never Trumpers” like U.S. Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) and establishment Republicans like McCain and Corker regularly contesting and criticizing him, and a united Democratic Party opposing everything he supports.

Another challenge for the President is the left-wing media, which constantly demonizes him and saddles him with 92% negative coverage, according to the Media Research Center. For eight years, the media had a love affair with Barack Obama, who could do nothing wrong, now, in their eyes, President Trump can do nothing right.

President Trump also has the unique task of overcoming a federal bureaucracy that is opposed to his agenda. These “deep state” holdovers from previous administrations are leaking his calls to foreign leaders and trying almost every possible tactic to embarrass the President and stop his policy goals from being implemented. Clearly, President Trump is a threat to the globalists in the government who want the United States to follow down the path of international trade deals and climate change accords.

Unquestionably, in the past year, the “swamp” has literally thrown everything at Donald Trump to deny his victory and impede the will of the American people. He is in the middle of a Special Counsel investigation even though there is no evidence of Russian collusion. This team of partisan Democrat attorneys is trying every possible tactic to bring down Donald Trump.

The President’s only chance of success is for the “deplorables,” the 63 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump, to rise up and question the Special Counsel, confront the biased media and demand the weak GOP congressional leadership start passing legislation to advance his agenda.

Donald Trump needs his supporters now more than ever because he is surrounded by an ever-growing list of enemies who are working overtime to nullify the 2016 presidential election results.

Economic optimism soars boosting Trump!

Economic optimism soars, boosting Trump’s approval rating: CNBC survey, GOPUSA staff, December 19, 2017

American optimism on the economy is reaching new heights and President Donald Trump’s approval ratings look to be benefiting, at least somewhat.

The CNBC All-American Economic Survey found that for the first time in at least 11 years, more than half of respondents to the survey rated the economy as good or excellent, while a near record 41 percent expected the economy to improve in the next year.

“We’re not measuring a marginal change in the economy, we’re measuring a different economy,” said Public Opinion Strategies’ Micah Roberts, the Republican pollster for the survey. The poll of 800 adults across the nation, with a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points, was conducted Dec. 10-13 by that firm and Democratic pollster Hart Research.

Casting stones on sexual predation?

Submitted by email:

"...Suddenly, today the political spectrum is awash in exposing perpetrators of these man-made moral limits. Sexual predation is somehow more inexcusable now than in previous times for, say, presidents FDR (mistress), Eisenhower (personal driver),  John F. Kennedy (too many adulteries to calculate), Senator Teddy Kennedy (adultery and manslaughter), Lyndon Johnson (gross sexual indignities), and the topper of all: Bubba Clinton, who not only sexually harassed but in one cited case, actually raped a woman while governor, then engaged scandalously in oral sex with a young girl in the White House oval office. He was impeached for lying about the affair and laughed it off, as did Attorney General Holder his Contempt of Congress citation. And now Republican Alabama Judge Roy Moore’s 40-years-ago peccadillos and Minnesota Democrat Senator Al Franken’s and Michigan U.S. Rep. John Conyers’ before and after they entered office, bringing widespread, off-hand  “guilty until proven innocent” verdicts by many who should hardly be casting any stones themselves. One could expect the fat-cat multi-millionaires that rule Congress and the Country to pay discretely in cash for their sex-escapades to the plethora of high-class DC “Call-Girls” that serve that purpose; the other not-so-well-off blood-suckers let the secret slush taxpayer fund pay off 17 million dollars in their stead. Outrageous!

"... Despite its shortcomings, the world has been such a wondrous place until recently, it seems, when, in this impersonal technical age, it started turning ugly in new twists:, viz., terrorism, Islamic encroachment, existential threats from rogue nations, corruption in high places, rampant outright insurrection, incredible attacks on the Judeo-Christian ethic, the only true morality on earth— not to mention the demise of manners, courtesy, and common decency— all attributable to the digital age?  After this Trump recovery period, I fear a return to the inexorable ignorance of the masses and the eventual downfall of the USA. That, against the rise of totalitarian China in a quarter century to surpass the USA in world dominance as Western Civilization is further degraded by Muslim and other rogue usurpers.

I know: the American experiment is to let society in all its levels compete in hopes that the best and the intelligent will rise to the top; and despite all its shortcomings, ineptitude, bureaucracy, and corruption, the U.S. Government is the best of all the other imperfect ones worldwide..." — Don Horacio

Trump Satisfaction!

Ted Cruz, a real fighter and true conservative was my preferred choice, not Trump. I saw Ted speak in Little Rock, AR and his intelligence and passion was undeniable. His father, Rafael, stole the show, as he described beating by Batista and later the horrors he witnessed by the Communists in Cuba. Predictably, the NY Times came to the defense of Communist Castro telling more about their love affair for Communism than Rafael’s reliability.

However, Trump won the Republican primary. Like many conservatives, I questioned whether this candidate, who had financially supported more liberal Democrats than conservative Republicans would support our causes. I will say unequivocally now that I am more pleased with President Trump than I have been with any president since President Reagan.

Trump has nominated conservative judges, including one critical Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch. He has also appointed a cabinet with conservatives like Niki Haley, AG Sessions, Scott Pruitt, Ryan Zinke, Tom Price, and Dan Coats just to name a few. With his actual State Department experience and proven foreign experience, I much preferred Bolton for Secretary of State to the oilman Tillerson with his belief in the theory of man-made global warming. Conservatives cannot win them all, and Tillerson will follow the President’s objectives hopefully and not promote the redistribution of wealth via Cap and trade.

President Trump has also done a great job in alleviating much of the damage done by Obama’s executive orders and radical leftist agenda like the “war on Coal,” Keystone Pipeline, Paris Accord, Iran giveaway dirty deal, enforcement of illegal immigration, securing the borders against Muslim terrorist countries, etc. Six of the last seven presidents have banned certain foreigners out of the US, including Muslim countries by Democrat presidents like Carter and Clinton. That an appointed judge in Hawaii or Maryland believes he should have the authority over immigration rather than the elected President of the United States displays the allegiance to the radical left by judges. President Trump is doing his part for conservatives.

President Trump has also fought the barking media’s call for banning guns. Had Hillary been elected, she would absolutely have pushed for gun control and likely done so through the Obama path of executive orders. Remember, her husband Bill was a huge gun control fanatic, and Waco was not his only crime in pursuing this goal. He signed both the Brady Bill and the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban.

Trump is pressuring Communist China more and more to reign in North Korea or at least cut back on their exports/imports from there, which remains about 90%. Clearly, more needs to be done, yet the show of force by three carriers, continued joint military exercises near Korea, diplomatic pressure, renewed alliance with Japan, and refusing to backdown from death threats and bullying from N Korea’s Communist dictator all are a refreshing change from Obama’s head in the sand approach. While President Obama allowed ISIS to grow, take land, and murder; President Trump has supported the destruction of Muslim terrorism. More could likely be done against Russian’s undeclared and covert war in the Ukraine, but the media’s manic obsession over Russian/Trump collusion has rendered this very difficult. Never mind that the only Russian collusion thus far found is Clinton’s Russian dossier on Trump.

Overall, I am most pleased with President Trump. When New Black Panther Party member and Nation of Islam follower Micah Johnson states his hatred of whites and police, his desire to kill them, and his subsequent killing of five Police officers in Dallas Texas last year, we no longer have a president who claims it is hard to "untangle the motive" of this. Nor do we have a president who rushes to defend Islam after their many attacks against Americans in the name of their religion. We must not forget how bad things were in Obama world. Remember had Hillary been elected, this war on religion (other than Islam), family, heterosexuals, 2nd Amendment, anti-white males, and the aiding of our enemies in Communist Cuba and Muslim Iran and ignoring them in the Syria and North Korea would be even worse today.

Well said Koba56 and I agree.

Well said Koba56 and I agree. I'll take it one step further and predict Trump may be better than Reagan and that's not to take away from Reagan in anyway. I think they were and are the right men for the their time in history. Now, if only Hillary and some others were charged for their crimes and put on trial (preferably prosecuted) my faith in America would be greatly restored. Damn these criminals riding off into the sunset.. America needs and deserves this closure. Sincerely, Willy Bean
Well said, but it will be difficult to surpass Reagan, but Trump is definitely the man for the times, for sure!---MAF
