Dear Editor,

In an era when corporations are practicing medicine illegally by hiring colleagues who lease their licenses, I have to disagree with the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) that broader immunity to peer reviewers will improve the system. The MSMS must oppose the legislative intention to extend immunity to non-governmental entities, as far as peer reviewers are concerned.

I hope you have accessed the AMA website for medical ethics because as an AMA member I am in a quandary as to what to do. In their documents you can find what I think are many seeds of our destruction. While the majority of the information sounds good, it essentially amounts to belated and reactive postures to the orderly transfer of our autonomy to resource managers who hide behind "public health" and "quality" as quasi-legal terms of art which they are not...

Diary of Dreams performs at the 2016 M’era Luna festival in Hildesheim, Germany. M’era Luna, “one of the biggest dark music events in Germany,” is held each year on the second weekend in August. Close to 25,000 people attend the festival annually to hear gothic, metal and industrial music performed on two large festival-style stages.
